For the sixth year running, 888poker will be the sponsor of the World Series of Poker. The online poker brand has a long-running relationship with the WSOP, offering players an opportunity to compete in major tournament events by qualifying online.
2020 WSOP Details:
The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will play host to the 2020 WSOP, with the series kicking off on May 26th. ESPN and PokerGo will be broadcasting footage from the series, so fans can catch all the action. For 888poker, the brand will be offering players located outside the United States the opportunity to qualify online for the Main Event.
Additionally, it will be offering a ton of options, from promotions as well as campaigns. Multi-step satellites are on the menu, providing an affordable way for players to earn their spot into the big event. The options begin on February 23rdand will continue through June 14th. Players will be able to compete every weekend during this time frame for a shot at a WSOP 2020 package valued at $15,000.
The prize package includes the buy-in to the main event, travel and accommodations, as well as the buy-in to the Crazy 8’s tournament which is a side event.

XL Blizzard Finishes Up:
The announcement of the WSOP sponsorship comes juts a few days after the operator finished up their XL Blizzard poker festival. The poker event offered 34 tournaments and took place from February 6th to the 16th. Over $1.4 million in guaranteed prize money was up for grabs.
The festival was quite affordable, offering buy-ins at a low $5.50 and going only as high as $320. Satellites and freerolls were also on offer, which helped players to earn a seat to the events at a fraction of the cost.
