Only a day after being licensed by officials in the western American state of Wyoming and the mobile-friendly BetMGM sportsbetting advance has now reportedly inked a deal to bring its services to afficionados on the island territory of Puerto Rico.
According to a Thursday report from the Caribbean Journal, the iOS and Android-enabled sports wagering innovation has signed an arrangement with the four-star La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort property from Marriott International Incorporated that is to see its services made available to punters outside of the continental United States for the first time.
BetMGM is run by the Roar Digital enterprise established by American land-based casino operator MGM Resorts International in partnership with British iGaming behemoth Entain in 2019. The service is already available to sportsbetting fans in 13 states including Virginia, Colorado and Pennsylvania and used its own official Thursday press release to declare that it now intends to introduce its offerings into Puerto Rico ‘as soon as the regulated market commences.’
Adam Greenblatt serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Roar Digital and he detailed that the fresh alliance will moreover see the 709-room San Juan property’s ground-floor Casino Del Mar venue premiere a BetMGM-branded retail sportsbook. The boss of the New Jersey-based enterprise moreover revealed that both of these launches regarding ‘The Island of Enchantment’ remain ‘subject to regulatory approvals’ and are to be joined by the provision of a range of ‘resources to help customers play responsibly.’
