Galaxy Macau to soon feature a Raffles-branded hotel

French multinational hospitality behemoth Accor SA has reportedly announced the signing of an agreement that is to see it bring a Raffles-branded hotel to the giant Galaxy Macau development.

According to a Monday report from GGRAsia, the Paris-headquartered firm revealed that the deal inked with Asian casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited will involve its Raffles at Galaxy Macau venue opening during the second half of the year complete with a collection of 450 suites spread across two towers of the Cotai Strip property.

Accor SA is already responsible for over 5,000 hotels in some 110 countries and reportedly detailed that the coming Raffles-branded offering for Macau will also feature glass-panelled bridges to span the distance between the pair of Galaxy Macau towers alongside private gardens and pools for a selection of its suites. The firm purportedly explained that some of the loft rooms in the soon-to-debut development are to moreover come complete with double-story windows and allow guests to take advantage of the latest in hospitality technology including advanced butler services.

Gary Rosen serves as Greater China Chief Executive Operator for Accor SA and he reportedly told the source that Macau as the ‘ideal’ place to locate the newest addition to his firm’s already 15-strong family of Raffles-branded venues. The American executive purportedly furthermore stated that the first of these properties debuted in the city-state of Singapore way back in 1887 before going on to be joined by sister hotels in locations as diverse as the cities of Paris and Warsaw as well as the Chinese provinces of Guangdong and Hainan.
