The Las Vegas Raiders have reportedly offered to host Super Bowl LVIII. The announcement comes at a time when the NFL revealed that New Orleans will no longer be hosting in 2024 and instead will do so in 2025. The decision to make the change was made due to Mardi Gras conflicts.
Super Bowl Considerations
This week, it was also announced that the Pro Bowl for this season has been canceled. It was supposed to take place at the Raider’s home, Allegiant Stadium. Because of this, the NFL will allow the stadium to hose the Pro Bowl in 2022. The cancellation was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing restrictions.
According to an official of the NFL, the Allegiant Stadium and the city of Las Vegas will be received well as a candidate for the Super Bowl. NFL executive vice president of club business and league events, Peter O’Reilly, said that it provides a tremendous stage for the game.
The NFL is waiting for 2021 to announce a replacement city for the event. The decision lies in the hands of the league owners and Las Vegas is a well-known location that could be used to accommodate the event.
Raiders and BetMGM Partnership
On top of this most recent Super Bowl news, the Raiders have also signed a deal with sports betting operator BetMGM. Back in September, the brand announced the deal, with BetMGM to serve as the team’s official sports betting partner.
As part of the deal, the operator will offer a private MGM Club at Allegiant Stadium where an exclusive experience will be provided for game viewing. This area includes a luxury lounge as well as upgraded stadium seating and a full service bar.
